From mid-April through mid-May, 2003, I rode my motorcycle from Vancouver to Toronto, where I stayed for the summer with my siblings. Normally it takes less than a week to drive that distance, but Canadian weather (east of the Rocky Mountains) is not friendly towards motorcyclists in mid-spring, so the best solution I could think of was to make a big loop via the southern U.S.
